Assistant Professor of Finance

Samuel Rosen is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Fox School of Business at Temple University. His research interests span macro-finance, financial institutions, commercial lending, and fintech. Many of his papers focus on less-studied financial institutions—including nonbank middle-market lenders, community development financial institutions (CDFIs), and government-supported small business lending programs—examining how these lenders expand credit access, shape loan pricing, and affect financial stability. He received his PhD in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Kenan-Flagler Business School) and a BA in Economics from Cornell University. Prior to his doctoral studies, Rosen worked in the Financial Stability Division at the Federal Reserve Board.
