2020 Emerging Scholars Program Applications Due June 15

Applications for the Emerging Scholars program for the 2020 Community Banking in the 21st Century research and policy conference are due by June 15, 2020. The program welcomes Ph.D. students who are considering or working on a dissertation on a banking-related topic. 

First introduced as part of the 2015 conference, the Emerging Scholars Program is intended to support Ph.D. students who are considering or working on a dissertation on a banking-related topic.  Three scholars will be selected to attend and participate in the 2020 conference, with their travel and lodging expenses paid by the program. 

The three winning scholars will be announced July 20. 

Please Note: We are closely monitoring the situation regarding COVID-19. The health and safety of our attendees and the academic standards of the conference are our highest priorities. As we plan the conference, we will follow guidance from public health officials as it relates to the safety of attending large events and travelling. The conference sponsors are also developing a plan to move the conference to an online format if necessary. If the conference were to move to an online format in 2020, we would acknowledge the Emerging Scholars during the 2020 proceedings but invite them to attend the 2021 proceedings in person.
