2024 Emerging Scholars Program Now Open

Applications are now being accepted for the Emerging Scholars program as part of the 2024 Community Banking Research Conference, sponsored by the Federal Reserve, the Conference of State Bank Supervisors, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.

The conference, which marks its twelfth anniversary this year, will be held Oct. 2-3, 2024, at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.

The program welcomes Ph.D. students who are considering or working on a dissertation on a banking-related topic. Up to three applicants will be selected and invited to participate in the 2024 conference, along with the researchers, regulators and community bankers who will convene to hear presentations and discussions covering the latest in community banking research and policy. This will be the ninth year of the program helping to identify future community banking researchers.

The application can be found here. All applications are due June 14, 2024. The winners will be announced by July 19, 2024.
