Mehdi Beyhaghi

Mehdi Beyhaghi is a senior financial economist at the Supervision, Regulation, and Credit department at the Richmond Fed. His work is mainly focused on the supervision and regulation of banking organizations, stress testing, and economic research. His main area of research is the interplay of central banks, banking institutions, and businesses. Mehdi is also a co-organizer of research seminars at Richmond Fed’s supervision department and the chairperson of Global Connections, an employee resource network. Prior to joining the Richmond Fed in 2018, he was an assistant professor of finance at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Prior to that he was a PhD intern at the Bank of Canada’s department of financial stability.
